There’s another way to the top.

Modacity CEO and Founder, Marc Gelfo, was featured on James Newcomb’s MusicPreneur podcast. In it, they discuss his background as a professional orchestral musician and what he’s learned about efficient practice during his not-so-typical road to success.

Marc achieved success as a neuro-symphonic french horn player; winning numerous orchestral auditions around the world all without following the plan. He didn’t start at music conservatory. Didn’t run the traditional audition circuit, or play the numbers game. In fact, Marc actually majored in cognitive science and computer science in college!

During the podcast, Marc and James discuss Marc’s journey and what he did differently to achieve success. Most notably, how he discovered a revolutionary practice technique. Marc discovered a gap between what science knows about learning, and what most musicians actually do in the practice room. Using research-backed principles, Marc found a way to create a better and more efficient practice routine. Maximizing his effectiveness and increasing his learning ability ten-fold.

Marc wants to help musicians excel, just like he did. So, he created Modacity; with the aim of helping all musicians practice efficiently. Changing the way we think about serious practice. Modacity automates your practice session management in a scientifically validated way. So you can save time, learn faster, and stay motivated. All while being able to track and review your progress.
